Tulum Municipal President Enhances Akumal’s Health Center

The Municipal President of Tulum, Diego Castañón Trejo, delivered the expansion works of the Health Center in the locality of Akumal, benefiting 1,310 inhabitants.

Upon delivering this project in Akumal, Castañón Trejo reaffirmed that his administration will ensure the strengthening of public health. He even mentioned that, in collaboration with Governor Mara Lezama, they have initiated efforts with the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS).

Diego Castañón stated that the expansion of the Health Center addressed a longstanding demand, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to improving healthcare services.

“What we are inaugurating is a great achievement, something that this delegation needed. We understand that the health and well-being of everyone are the most important concerns for the citizens. These facilities are for you, and we must take care of them. I hope to have more 24-hour doctors because we need them. We will address what can be resolved, and there are several things that, together with you, we will be able to accomplish,” he said.

During the project handover to the inhabitants of Akumal, the municipal syndic, María Teresa Arana Sánchez, and the councilors, David Tah Balam, Martín Dzib Chimal, and Paulina Malpica Yañez, accompanied the mayor. Additionally, the delegate of the locality, Santos Diego Pech, was present.
