Philia: your gateway to delf-exploration and well-being in Tulum’s first-ever edition

The Papaya Playa Project hotel presents Philia, a new experience in the Riviera Maya. This is the first edition of a new encounter of art and music with sessions of self-exploration and wellness through a program featuring temazcals, cacao ceremonies, and sound healing.

With the spring vibes in full swing, the Mexican Caribbean is the perfect setting to connect art and music in one place. Philia is an encounter where both disciplines will celebrate life in Tulum over a whole weekend, bringing together international talent.

With over 12 years of experience as one of the best event venues in Tulum, the Papaya Playa Project hotel presents Philia as a new experience within the Riviera Maya. From April 27th to 30th, Philia starts with sessions of self-exploration and wellness through a program featuring temazcals, cacao ceremonies, sound healing (musical therapy that uses sounds to calibrate our vibrational frequencies), as well as a holistic market where consultations on oriental medicine will be provided and a collective offering to life will be made.

What is Philia?

Philia was born as an event that seeks to create a connection with the natural beauty of Tulum, as well as with the spirit of each of the attendees, generating fraternity, inspiration, and harmony through the fusion of music, art, and nature on the paradisiacal beaches of the Mexican Caribbean.

With this project, the Papaya Playa Project proposes, through Philia, a comprehensive weekend with activities that complement each other for the development of well-being: happenings and artistic installations, therapeutic workshops, and the curation of a musical program that will accompany the experience.

Papaya Playa Project, along with Design Hotels™, joined forces to discover a new form of hospitality, merging local culture, art, music, and sustainability to prepare the stage with original and aspirational hospitality experiences. The project focuses on its vision of a sustainable and responsible Tulum that can be an example of hotel development worldwide.

With this idea in mind, an immersive weekend was born to connect through holistic activities, art, and music with local and international talent. Some of the artists include Robag Wruhme, known for his unconventional techno productions; Jenia Tarsol, rising in the international electronic music scene; and Isolée.
