Sedatu launches third phase of Jaguar Park Project, building access points to beaches with eco-friendly infrastructure

Roman Meyer Falcon, the head of SEDATU, has announced the commencement of the third phase of the Jaguar Park project. This project aims to improve public access to beaches in the area by building six new public beach accesses. These accesses will feature a range of amenities, including bathrooms, drinking fountains, and showers, to ensure that visitors have a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

During his visit to the municipality, Meyer Falcon revealed that SEDATU is working closely with hoteliers who own the lands where these public accesses are being built. The aim of this collaboration is to ensure that the new infrastructure has the least possible impact on the hoteliers’ businesses. To achieve this goal, SEDATU is introducing various measures, including vegetation and lighting, to make the accesses blend seamlessly with their surroundings. Additionally, they are working to standardize the design criteria of the establishments in the area, which will ensure a consistent and harmonious appearance across the region.

In addition to the new beach accesses, SEDATU is also investing in the region’s infrastructure by improving the Cobá avenue’s road network. Currently, 1.8 kilometers of bike paths are under construction on this avenue. Once completed, these bike paths will provide a safe and enjoyable way for visitors to explore the area. The improved road network will also facilitate access to the northern part of the region, where visitors can find important services and the Tren Maya museum. This museum is a vital part of the region’s cultural heritage and houses many important artifacts related to the ancient Mayan civilization.
