Tulum Unites in the Fight Against Breast Cancer
TULUM, Mexico – Bahia Principe Riviera Maya Resort and Tulum Country Club joined hands locally and internationally in commemorating “International Breast Cancer Day” with a crucial mission – raising awareness about the significance of early detection and prevention of this devastating disease. Their collective efforts during this event emphasized unity and solidarity for this vital cause.
Breast cancer ranks as one of the leading causes of death among women worldwide, comprising 16% of all female cancer cases, as per statistics published by the World Health Organization. Fully aware of this stark reality, Bahia Principe Riviera Maya and Tulum Country Club teamed up to convey a pivotal message: early detection is the key to improving prognosis and survival rates.
As part of their activities on this day, informative talks were held for employees to spread awareness about the importance of early detection.
Arantxa Munuera, the General Director of Bahia Principe Riviera Maya Resort, shared inspiring words regarding the significance of prevention and early detection. She underscored the need for self-examination and offered words of encouragement to the courageous women battling this illness. “The importance of early detection, to enhance prognosis and survival rates, which remains the cornerstone of the fight against this disease, as well as promoting sports and well-being in our community,” emphasized Arantxa Munuera.
In addition to raising the pink flag, attendees spontaneously formed a human pink ribbon, another symbol of support for the cause. This touching gesture was captured in a striking aerial photograph, portraying unity and solidarity in the battle against breast cancer.
This flag will wave throughout October as a symbol of solidarity and awareness.
Bahia Principe Riviera Maya and Tulum Country Club join numerous medical and social organizations worldwide in conducting informative activities to raise awareness in society about the importance of breast cancer prevention.
