Around the new airport, over 2,700 hotel rooms are currently under construction, including properties from the prestigious Grand Fiesta Americana and Life Aqua resorts. As the Maya Train nears completion, the hotel industry in Tulum is expected to flourish in response to the surging demand. Despite the relatively longer journey from Cancun and other bustling tourist hubs, Tulum has already experienced a substantial surge in popularity this year, primarily due to the city’s Archaeological Zone.

The successful completion of Quintana Roo’s ambitious infrastructure projects will further establish Tulum as a hub for expats and digital nomads, who have been flocking to this coastal paradise for years. Tulum boasts a vibrant international community, with numerous co-working facilities, trendy bars, restaurants, and nightclubs that predominantly cater to North American clientele.
