This pledge was made during a meeting with more than 70,000 hotel room owners in the region, where Castañón Trejo assured them of his commitment to improving the quality of life in Tulum.

Castañón Trejo has set his sights on positioning Tulum as a leading destination in the region. During the meeting with businessmen David Ortiz and Tony Chávez, he presented various measures that he is implementing to promote peace, tourism and the fight against sargasso. With the support of Governor Mara Lezama, he is confident that the municipality will achieve its goal.

Proper Disposal of Macroalgae
The mayor of Tulum also assured hoteliers that there is already a space provided by Sedena, under General Gustavo Ricardo Vallejo Suárez, to dispose of macroalgae in the municipality. General Gustavo is in charge of the construction of the Tren Maya and the Tulum International Airport. With proper disposal of macroalgae, safety and quality of life in Tulum will be further enhanced.
