Tulum Targets Brazilian Tourists at ABAV 2023

TULUM, Mexico – Tulum is gearing up for its participation in the ABAV 2023 tourism fair, set to take place in Rio de Janeiro from September 27th to 29th. The primary objective of Tulum’s presence at this event is to establish direct flights with Brazil, further strengthening the ties between these two tourist destinations. The Tulum delegation will be represented by the Tulum Tourism Promotion Council, and they have set ambitious goals for this fair.

In recent years, Tulum has seen a significant increase in tourism interest from Brazil. At ABAV 2023, the focus will be on solidifying this market and attracting more Brazilian travelers to the beautiful beaches and attractions of Tulum. The Tulum team intends to forge commercial agreements with Brazilian travel agencies, wholesalers, tour operators, and key industry partners. This will not only expand Tulum’s presence in the Brazilian market but also provide attractive options for travelers.

Tulum aims to hold meetings with airlines currently operating direct flights to Cancun, aligning with the opening of the Tulum International Airport scheduled for December 1st. Viva Aerobus and Aeroméxico have already scheduled direct flights from various major Mexican cities to Tulum, creating new opportunities for Brazilian travelers.

Mario Cruz Rodríguez, President of the Tulum Tourism Promotion Council, expressed his enthusiasm for this initiative. He noted their commitment to making Tulum an even more accessible and appealing destination for the Latin American market, particularly Brazil. With the imminent opening of the Tulum International Airport and active efforts to establish direct flights with Brazil, Tulum is well on its way to becoming a world-class destination for travelers from all corners of the globe.
