For a long time now, travelers have been concerned not only about enjoying their days, but also about doing so with a conscience and without affecting the environment. Thus was born the new Xunkari Tulum Ecoluxury Living project, which on January 13 concluded its first phase with the inauguration of its first sustainable luxury home in the heart of the Mayan jungle.

The project, which was one of the finalists in the “Best Sustainability Project” category in the residential sector of the Porcelanosa Awards 2022, has been focused from the beginning on changing the urban development environment in Tulum, a city that has lost its essence due to overbuilding in recent years.

Xunkari Tulum Ecoluxury Living: an example of responsible development

It is true that Tulum is one of the most important tourist treasures in Mexico, being one of those that year after year receives thousands of visitors and this is largely due to its natural charm in which the Mayan jungle, mangroves, cenotes and Caribbean beaches come together.

However, all that charm has been threatened by its own popularity that has caused an excessive growth of constructions and complexes, so it is not surprising that more sustainable and responsible projects such as Xunkari Tulum Ecoluxury Living arise.

The entire project is made up of more than 4 hectares that group 3 phases with more than 100 houses of different categories, ranging from 2-bedroom bungalows (starting at $215,000 USD) to 4-bedroom mansions (starting at $475,000 USD).

Each property includes its own pool, rooftop, enough space and privacy for guests to disconnect from worries and connect with themselves and nature.

To achieve this, Xunkari has immersed these properties in the jungle, placing them just 3 km from the beaches, surrounded by hundreds of natural cenotes.

And following its commitment to mother nature, the firm has equipped the buildings with solar panels and hybrid wastewater treatment plants, finishes of the renowned Spanish brand Porcelanosa and intelligent system of lights and A / C, thus preserving more than 70% of the surface as green areas.

Without neglecting the luxury and comfort sought by visitors to this Mexican region, Xunkari Tulum’s clients will find more than a unique and eco-luxurious property, the amenities package includes a 20-person temazcal, yoga room, spa, cenote, bonfire area, outdoor gym, among others.

Phase 1 and 2 is comprised of 36 homes – the first one already available – and all of them have already been sold.
