During the Thirty-second Ordinary City Council Session, the Tulum City Council approved the signing of a collaboration agreement with the National Forestry Commission (CONAFOR).

With this action, the trustee and aldermen led by the municipal president, Marciano Dzul Caamal, make possible the integration of fire management protection brigades of the Environmental Compensation program for land use change in forest lands, which will generate operational plans and strategies, as well as institutional mechanisms and economic resources to prevent forest fires and general damage to the Tulumán ecosystem.
