TULUM, Mexico – In a collaborative effort between the Secretariat of Agrarian, Territorial, and Urban Development, the Quintana Roo state government, and the Tulum municipal government, nighttime closures along the Tulum-Akumal Federal Highway 307 at the city’s northern entrance and exit were announced this Friday.

These closures are deemed necessary to facilitate the installation of a metal structure bridge, a crucial component of the Jaguar Park project led by Sedatu through the Urban Improvement Program (PMU).

In order to ensure the safety of motorists, transporters, and passengers, an alternative two-kilometer route for entering and exiting the municipal center in the Tulum-Akumal direction will be established.

This route will commence at the entrance to the Archaeological Zone parking lot, in coordination with the municipal government.

Authorities advise drivers to follow traffic signs that will guide their way through the city. The construction work will take place during the following hours:

  • Saturday, November 25: From 9:00 PM until 8:00 AM on Sunday, the 26th.
  • Sunday, November 26: Starting at 9:00 PM until 8:00 AM on Monday, the 27th.
