Diego Castañón announces new patrols for the SSYPC of Tulum

The municipal president of Tulum, Diego Castañón Trejo, led a roll call this Thursday morning for the members of the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSYPC), reiterating the support of the administration and urging them to work in coordination with the forces of the three levels of government to ensure peace and tranquility in the Mayan Caribbean.

At the end of the meeting with the police force, Castañón Trejo informed in an interview with the media that next week, the municipal administration would be giving way to the delivery of new patrols to reinforce surveillance in the ninth municipality, as part of the legacy of the former mayor, Marciano Dzul Caamal.

“It is always good to greet them and let them know that they have the support of the entire administration and we are looking at the delivery of patrols. We are just seeing what day it will be, because the patrols are very important, we are doing very well,” he said.

He also indicated that he asked the gendarmes for effective coordination with the Government of Mexico and the State.

“We have to be coordinated, that is what I commented here to the elements that they have to be coordinated with those of SEDENA, MARINA and the National Guard, to take care of tourism. Tourism feels safe when they see them walking in the streets,” he said.

The mayor also said that the public services vehicle fleet will be reinforced.

“That is what we are going to see, the trucks, there is a crusher. There are the patrols, but I think they will be delivered next week,” he said.

He reaffirmed that the legacy of Marciano Dzul Caamal will continue and there will be no changes in the administration, except in the treasury where this day a person will be appointed as the person in charge of the office and in the coming weeks, the person who will definitively assume the municipal treasury will be sworn in.

“The agreements that began at the beginning of the administration will remain the same, we will be putting the name of our president Marciano and respect his legacy, apart because he was a very generous person, a great friend and above all, a great human being,” he concluded.
