Diego Castañón and Román Meyer Oversee Three Remarkable Projects in Tulum

TULUM, Mexico – In a display of collaboration and progress, Tulum’s Mayor, Diego Castañón Trejo, and the Secretary of Agrarian, Territorial, and Urban Development (SEDATU), Román Meyer Falcón, embarked on a comprehensive tour this past Saturday. The destinations on their itinerary included the Yáanal Ha’ Museum, the Pok Ta Pok Sports Complex, and the Community Development Center. These projects, which have garnered a substantial investment of 42 million pesos, are poised to become significant landmarks that both tourists and local families can revel in, and their completion is anticipated within a mere month.

During an interview with the media, Mayor Diego Castañón underscored that these federally-backed initiatives are integral components of the Urban Improvement Program, spearheaded by the Government of Mexico. Following their completion, the municipal administration will assume the responsibility of ensuring their optimal functionality.

“The positive rapport we share with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador has catalyzed a transformation in Tulum that will reap benefits for all our families,” remarked Mayor Castañón.

He went on to reveal that the final stages of electrification were meticulously overseen today. This strategic attention to detail aims to ensure that each facility is equipped for public use within a commendable timeframe of 30 days. Notably, this encompassing scope even includes the swimming pool, which falls under the purview of the Youth and Municipal Sports Directorate.
