TULUM, Mexico – In a significant move to enhance the local infrastructure and further elevate the allure of Tulum as a prime destination in the Mexican Caribbean, Diego Castañón Trejo, the Mayor of Tulum, recently led the commencement of the second phase of the Cobá Sur Avenue modernization project. This ambitious endeavor, funded by the municipality, is set to benefit a substantial population of 33,374 residents.

Providing insights into the scope of the project, Santos Hipólito Tuz Chi, the Director of Public Works Monitoring, disclosed that a total of 12,173,560.39 pesos will be allocated from the municipal coffers to fund the comprehensive overhaul. This financial commitment will be allocated across five key areas: Pavement renovation, central median installation, creation of a dedicated bike lane and landscaping, construction of pedestrian walkways and access crossings, and the enhancement of public lighting infrastructure.

This multifaceted initiative is poised to directly benefit a substantial population of 33,374 inhabitants, enhancing their daily lives and the overall appeal of Tulum.
