TULUM, Mexico – In a significant stride towards bolstering the vigilance and patrolling efforts across its expanse to ensure the serenity and security of its residents and visitors alike, Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa orchestrated the distribution of 14 patrol vehicles, encompassing 8 robust pick-up trucks, 2 agile motorcycles, 1 all-terrain quad bike, and 3 sleek sedans.
Governor Mara Lezama emphasized the relentless pursuit of peace and tranquility, underpinned by a Novel Civic Security Model and a comprehensive strategy addressing the very roots of violence. This initiative is enshrined within the New Accord for the Prosperity and Advancement of Quintana Roo, a visionary platform propelling profound transformation and collective prosperity.
At the heart of this Novel Security Model lies a response to the heartfelt concerns of the populace, echoing the earnest feedback that Governor Mara Lezama gleaned directly from the community, particularly heeding the voices of women. “People seek the assurance of safety as they traverse our streets, venture through our neighborhoods, and dwell within their own homes, all without jeopardizing their well-being or possessions,” she articulated.
The augmentation of these fresh patrol units is poised to cultivate stronger state-level collaboration with various municipal public security entities, thereby safeguarding the well-being of residents and the burgeoning influx of tourists journeying through the state.
Following the ceremonial handing over of the symbolic keys, Governor Mara Lezama embarked on a tour of the newly acquired fleet, accompanied by the Municipal President Diego Castañón Trejo, the esteemed Chairwoman of the DIF (Integral Family Development System) Verónica Lezama Espinosa, Subsecretary of Public Security in the Northern Zone Antonio Esteban Peralta Amador, Subsecretary of Public Security in Tulum Ricardo Morales Santos, as well as councilors and distinguished guests.
