Tulum Aims to Woo French Travelers at IFTM Top Resa
TULUM, Mexico – Tulum is setting its sights on the burgeoning French market as the municipal government, the Hotel Association, and the Quintana Roo Tourism Promotion Council gear up for their presence at IFTM Top Resa. This exciting development was announced by Jorge Molina Pérez, the Director General of Tourism and Economy.
According to data from the Quintana Roo Tourism Secretariat, French tourists constitute an annual influx of 210,000 visitors who choose to revel in the state’s tourist destinations, including the idyllic Tulum.
Molina Pérez underscored the importance of their innovative mobile web application, “Visit Tulum Travel,” and the official social media page, “Visit Tulum,” where travelers can meticulously plan their journeys, secure reservations, and even provide feedback on the establishments they explore in this enchanting destination.
“It is undoubtedly a crucial fair because the French market holds significant value for the state of Quintana Roo, and naturally, for Tulum as well. It is imperative that French tourists understand that many of the attractions they visit, such as Cobá, Sian Ka’an, and Akumal, belong to the municipal term or geography of Tulum. These are all integrated resources, and we will leverage the new mobile web app, ‘Visit Tulum Travel,’ as the official platform,” he emphasized.

He also highlighted the collaborative efforts of Tulum’s Mayor, Diego Castañón Trejo, in various areas across the municipality, including security, cleanliness, beachfront maintenance, and the development of Maya communities, among others.
Molina Pérez went on to explain that these concerted actions demonstrate that all facets of work are interconnected. It’s not just isolated promotion; instead, it has a cohesive structure aimed at promoting Tulum in this reimagined context. Tulum has a rejuvenated brand and a modern image that aligns perfectly with the demands of both the market and the destination.
As Tulum’s allure continues to captivate the hearts of tourists worldwide, the municipality’s strategic presence at IFTM Top Resa promises to strengthen its position in the French market. With the innovative tools at their disposal, including the “Visit Tulum Travel” app and robust social media platforms, Tulum is poised to offer French travelers an unforgettable and immersive experience.

The efforts of Tulum’s municipal government, the Hotel Association, and the Quintana Roo Tourism Promotion Council are reflective of a shared vision – one that harmoniously combines tradition and modernity to showcase Tulum as a world-class tourist destination.
