TULUM – MĂ©xico – Following a citizen complaint regarding a damaged street in Tulum that deteriorated after the recent rains, the Public Services authorities initiated repairs. However, they must wait for the rain to stop before carrying out a more permanent solution.
The director of Public Services, Audomaro SolĂs, announced the activation of a repair plan. He explained that while initial actions have already started, final repairs must wait until the rainy season ends to ensure better and more lasting results.
“The street in question was severely damaged due to the heavy rains of recent days. We understand this is an important issue for the residents, so we’ve already begun preliminary repair work. However, given the current weather conditions, we’ve decided to hold off on full repairs until the rainy season passes to guarantee a more durable intervention,” SolĂs stated.
The official further emphasized that weather conditions will determine the timeline for the final repairs. Should the weather cooperate, construction could begin in the coming weeks.
“We want to ensure that when we intervene, it is to resolve the issue effectively and avoid having to make repeated repairs,” SolĂs concluded.
