The municipal government of Tulum, headed by Marciano Dzul Caamal, launched the subsidy program of 30%, 15% and 10% of the property tax for the fiscal year 2023.
According to the press release, the municipal treasurer, Diego Castañón Trejo, informed that the H. Cabildo approved:
- A 30% subsidy on the payment of property tax to taxpayers who comply with their tax obligation between January 2 and January 31, 2023.
- A 15% subsidy in the payment of property tax to taxpayers who comply with their tax obligation between February 1 and February 28, 2023.
- A 10% subsidy in the payment of property tax to taxpayers who comply with their tax obligation between March 1 and March 31, 2023.
The official also informed that the mayor, the municipal trustee and the councilmen and councilwomen authorized a 50% subsidy on the payment of the property tax to Tulumnenses with disabilities, pensioners, retirees or those who have an Inapam or Insen credential and who comply with their tax obligation between January 2 and March 31, 2023.
“The H. Ayuntamiento thanks the taxpayers who this day fulfilled their responsibility, fulfilled their obligation to the property tax, being automatically creditors of a ticket for the development of a raffle. The municipal government is going to give them results,” said Castañón Trejo.
Griselt Olianet Matheus García, Director of Revenues, informed that taxpayers can call 9848712101 to request information and orientation on the subsidies available and the requirements to be beneficiaries.
Citizens such as José Reyes and Antonio Aguirre, in separate interviews, expressed their gratitude for the discounts applied to their payments and the good sense of attention provided at the Municipal Treasury windows. Both invited citizens to join in complying with this obligation in the first months of the year 2023.
This year 2023, the municipal government has a high collection expectation as projected in the Revenue Law 2023 with an additional 27%, a resource with which the administration of Marciano Dzul Caamal expects to attend with the highest responsibility to the needs of the families of Tulumán.
