Mayor of Tulum Leads Initiative to Enhance Public Areas for Citizens’ Comfort

TULUM, México – In a remarkable display of commitment to improving public spaces, Tulum’s Municipal President, Diego Castañón Trejo, led a heartfelt ceremony to distribute materials and equipment for the maintenance of parks, gardens, medians, and roads. The aim is to transform these areas, ensuring the well-being of local families.

With genuine enthusiasm, Mayor Diego Castañón acknowledged the hard work of public service personnel. He emphasized that these new tools would ensure the proper upkeep of public spaces. Additionally, through the “Presidente Cerca de Ti” program, the government intends to strengthen direct assistance to families and strive for a better Tulum.

“These materials will lead to greater cleanliness and an enhanced image, presenting the best face of our municipality. I am genuinely delighted with the work they do, and I deeply appreciate it. The ‘Presidente Cerca de Ti’ walks have been immensely helpful. Our administration remains united, continuously working to demonstrate our dedication to the citizens and their needs,” remarked Mayor Castañón.

In his address, Antonio Miranda Miranda, the Chief Official of the Municipality, highlighted that the investment in the acquired materials amounted to $6,063,617 pesos. Furthermore, there are plans to provide an additional 20% of the stipulated supplies in the near future.

“The equipment will be utilized specifically for the care of public spaces, including parks, gardens, medians, and roads in our municipality. We financed this acquisition with the municipality’s own resources. As you can observe, we have acquired lawnmowers, chainsaws, shovels, rakes, paint, and a host of other necessary items for public service maintenance. This represents a portion of our efforts, while the remaining 20% will be supplied as per the respective contract,” explained Antonio Miranda Miranda.

The event saw the presence of other key municipal figures, including Municipal Treasurer Vicente Aldape Moncada, Controller Esli Ernesto Hernández Negrete, General Director of Public Services José Audomaro Solis Pacheco, and Director of Streets, Parks, and Gardens Marco Antonio Morales Cruz.
