Mayan women and dutch designer Xisco Riboch present “Tulum Essential”

Artisan women from Tulum and Dutch designer Xisco Riboch presented “Tulum Essential”, the fashion line that will promote ancestral Mayan sewing and respect for nature under the seal “Made in Tulum”.

According to a press release, the project is the result of the combined efforts of the municipal government headed by Marciano Dzul Caamal and the private sector, informed Jorge Mario Molina Perez, general director of Tourism and Economy. “They are unique pieces designed under a concept of ‘sustainable luxury’ for the world,” he said.

Molina Pérez informed that through this association between the artisans and designer Xisco Riboch it is possible to present a combination of ancestral and trendy design patterns that increases the positioning of the garment among consumers, thus opening a market that will benefit the Mayan designers.

The official said that soon “Tulum Essential” will venture into new garments such as wedding dresses, shoes, swimsuits and dresses to complement a catalog proudly “Made in Tulum”.
