Governor cuts ribbon and begins promotion of Maya Train at Madrid Fair

Riviera Maya, Q.R. — Quintana Roo Governor Mara Lezama spent the first full day of the Madrid Tourism Fair promoting the state. One of the highlights of her promotion has been the upcoming Maya Train project.

After the ribbon cutting ceremony for the Mexico Pavilion, state officials did the same with the Maya Train pavilion. Governor Lezama highlighted the project, which will be inaugurated in December of this year and detonate the southeast of Mexico.

She pointed out that together with the new international airport of Tulum and the investment in the archaeological zones, the tourist influx will increase in the various municipalities with options to enjoy the wonders that are found in Quintana Roo.She also noted the success that the state, that the Mexican Caribbean, had in 2022 with 19.6 million tourists, 30 million passengers at the Cancun International Airport and more than 4 million cruise ship passengers who arrived at the two ports of the Quintana Roo coast.

This year, 17 of Mexico’s states are participating in the 2023 Tourism Fair.
