American Airlines Unveils Exclusive Winter Routes to Tulum

TULUM, México – In a significant boost to Quintana Roo’s tourism sector, Governor Mara Lezama celebrated the recent announcement by American Airlines, introducing new flight options set to enhance the travel experience for tourists during the upcoming holiday season. This development not only promises an increased influx of visitors but also holds the potential for greater economic contributions to the daily lives of those employed in the region’s vital tourism industry.

Commencing on December 9th, American Airlines will position Cancún as its premier international destination for the winter season. The airline will inaugurate new non-stop flights connecting the city to Cincinnati, Nashville, Tennessee, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This latest addition further expands the airline’s winter network to 18 non-stop routes to Cancún from across the United States, with a remarkable daily frequency of up to 40 flights.

Highlighting the airline’s commitment to Quintana Roo, Governor Lezama revealed that American Airlines, the largest U.S. carrier, will also operate six flights on peak days to Cozumel. Additionally, commencing March 28th, the airline plans to introduce four daily non-stop flights to the new Tulum International Airport, “Felipe Carrillo Puerto.”

Governor Lezama expressed enthusiasm over the enhanced connectivity, stating, “The airline is providing more non-stop options to reach Quintana Roo directly, allowing visitors to savor the natural wonders from north to south, spanning our beautiful white-sand beaches, turquoise-blue seas, to archaeological sites, Mayan culture, and a plethora of choices.”
